I was with webhostingpad for Five years. Worst customer support ever. No one will take your call ever, so if you need anything you have to submit a ticket and talk to email. Not very helpful when you really need assistance setting something up or asking questions. There billing is a mess, and have overcharged me many times. You can't talk to anyone about it either. Submit a ticket.
Recently I had an issue with email spam from webhostingpad..I received about 4000 spam in one day. Of course no one would take my call. Submit a ticket.
It took me five hours to clean up my phone and mailboxes on my computer, and by the time I was finished my email and website had been SHUT DOWN. Why? Because they said I caused mail abuse. Uh right. I don't have the time, knowledge, or care to create such outlandishness. If they would have taken my call they might have known this. Instead they shut me down. I am glad, because it just prompted me to do what I have wanted to do for years, swiched to GoDaddy and have had awesome service and customer support, where people spent time with me on the phone and made the transition so easy.

SO glad to be done with them!

We apologize that you were unable to be helped over the phone. Judging from the ticket it seems that your account was suspended, and only our administrators have access to suspended accounts. Our phone support is only level one, so we instructed you to email our higher level support so they could look into the matter.

Mail abuse does not necessarily mean you were the one doing the abusing. It could have been a number of things causing the abuse. A compromised or poorly coded script, a weak email password causing someone to have access to the address, or any number of reasons could have caused the issue. We do our best to try help you in any way we can but your response to us saying "You Suck" didn't help us to do our job better or track down the problem.

We are sorry to see you go and wish you best of luck in your future hosting.

Webhostingpad was great UNTIL I wanted to cancel my account. They take your credit card information and there is no way to remove it without providing another form of payment. There is also no way to disable the automatic renewal function. When 2 of my 4 accounts automatically renewed and I did not want them to I contacted them the same day that I saw the charges on the account to cancel everything. I no longer needed those sites.

I was told that there would be no refund because I needed to have submitted a cancelation at least 3 days prior to the renewal that I knew nothing about. They didn't even offer to refund the account hosting which I have now paid for a year's worth and haven't even used a month.

Pros: Helpful until you want to cancel
Cons: Automatically renews even if you dont want it to

On the website, it said that they will do full refund. However, they purchase domain name from the third party and then sell it to the customers. It is kind of rip off and over charge people.

Also, the technical support staff and billing department staff are very rude when they answer the phone.. This company is horrible. I strongly suggested that no one should use them.

We do offer a full 30 day refund on all of our hosting accounts. As outlined in our terms this does not include domain name registration. We are not our own registrar and do partner with another company who registers all of our domain names. The reason that the domain fee can not be refunded is because once it is registered it can not be undone (per ICANN regulation). It is still your domain name and you can do with it whatever you want, including using it with another host.

I do apologize if you experienced rude customer service or support on the phone. We do take our support duties seriously and if you were not treated well we would like to know about it. Please email customercare@webhostingpad.com with more information and we will look into the matter further.

Webhosting pad repeatedly sends me bills for services I did not order or did not receive. I have tried to cancel service and I get bizarre bills even after the cancellation.

Avoid them at all costs.

I have a high regard for the staff at WebHostingPad .
I have made several blunders setting up my website as i am a complete newbie to website construction and am learning directly from google. They assisted me when i deleted something i shouldn't have on my server and they have helped me with an email problem which wasn't problem it was just my lack of understanding of how things worked and they were very patient and explained it to me as well as assisting me with a domain problem as well.
Sandra and Thomas are very patient so i hold them in high regard. I am still inexperienced with web design and hosting but from what i am learning webhosting pad has a lot to offer and they are very prompt in replying to tickets and go beyond their role as a web host when they are helping out with problems.
Great work Guys and thanks i will definitely recommend webhostingpad.

Even in the middle of the night US time, I received a very quick response to my question & everything suggested by Ron worked perfectly! When you want to work on things, you want to do it then, so it's a relief that WebHostingPad responds promptly to your questions, which has been my past experience with them as well.

CS staff is really efficient and serious about helping customers. Today ( 18 Sep ), I tried to open my website, but it was not opening. I logged a support ticket, and in less than 10 minutes, I had received response from CS rep and my site up again,

Mistakes are made by all service providers but when they are a good company is determined by how those mistakes are handled. I would like to commend Steve for his handling of a particular situation. When others made excuses and drug their feet Steve stepped in and handled the situation in a very professional manner. My Kudos to Steve.

Erased our server and no apology--very dissatisfied

After paying several years in advance, apparently our contract had expired and they claim to have notified us by email and postal service, but no one at our company ever received renewal notices. They turned our server off, which is not too big of a deal. The big deal is I had to call several times, no one knew what the problem was. They finally told us our bill was past due, and I said I would pay several more years in advance. They said they erased all our data on the server and would have start completely over, which is years of data uploads. With a dozen employee emails and several websites, we decided to switch to another company that came highly recommended: www.store.getstartedwebsites.com

Also, we realized our emails were getting rejected from the start and had to pay more than initially expected to get a dedicated IP address and we experienced once or twice annually the server was down. What kind of company turns your server off and erases everything and offers no apology???
