1. Hostpapa.ca Review by Cal Deobald on Sunday, November 30, 2008
A week ago, I moved all the web sites I had been hosting locally to hostpapa.ca. The transition went rather smoothly. Certainly, cPanel is an easy interface to master. In fact, some of the difficulty I had with the transition came when I was looking for a harder way to accomplish something (eg. editing apache config files to create virtualhosts) when cpanel provided a much easier tool.

Speed seems to be acceptable but not exceptional.

However, last night I tried to submit a trouble ticket regarding an issue, and the support site timed out. Then, this morning, everything is down. My sites are unavailable, support is unavailable, even hostpapa.ca is unavailable, which makes it difficult to find the number for phone support.

So, I have no web sites and no means of contacting the company to resolve the issue. 99.9% uptime? Not so much.

2. Hostpapa.ca Review by Stephane Brault on Thursday, September 18, 2008
I have bought an hosting account with HostPapa.ca for a Canadian website I'm currently building and so far I am extremely satisfied with HostPapa.ca

Server speed is really, in fact it's a lot better than all the other shared hosts I've tried: Lunarpages, HostGator and GoDaddy (ok this wasn't hard to beat) among others.

I cannot disclose the URL to the website I'm currently building but as soon as it's done I'll post here and you will be able to see for yourself how fast HostPapa.ca is.

The only reason I gave a 9/10 on support is because they don't have 24x7 phone but still, they can be reached through their support ticket system 24 hours a day.

Highly recommended, you won't be deceived.
