WebHostingBuzz and Cloud Platform SMEStorage Partner Up

This past Wednesday, the web hosting provider WebHostingBuzz announced that they will be partnering up with the cloud storage provider SMEStorage. Through this partnership they will be able to offer their customers the ability to take advantage of a managed cloud file server environment.

Commenting on this venture, the CEO of SMEStorage, Ian Osborne, said, “We are excited about this partnership with WebHostingBuzz. It will enable us to offer customers who wish to embrace SaaS and Cloud, but who want, or need, their own separate managed environment away from a multi-tenant ecosystem.” Osborne also pointed out that a lot of of SMEStorage’s customers desire to use SaaS and cloud, but to do so they require a dedicated infrastructure as a result of the legislation in this industry, as well as company policies.

Osborn went on to say that, “Businesses will be able to get a fully provisioned cloud file server on WebHostingBuzz infrastructure, which provides the ability to support organizations who want to embrace the an ‘always on’ file server with client desktop cloud file integration with Windows, Mac and Linux systems.”

This proposed cloud solution features a range of tools to control file permissions, public and private encryption, managed file expiry, file locking, and so on. SMEStorage have also pointed out that their primary focus is on open cloud solutions, data access and services aimed at small businesses as well as individuals.

WebHostingBuzz is one of the many web hosting providers that have recently partnered up with cloud infrastructure providers.
