A merger was announced last week between DedicatedNOW, a managed dedicated server provider, and SolarVPS, a managed VPS hosting company. The main aim of this merger is the expansion and further improvement of their current service coverage and overall offerings. Both brands will be retained, and the companies will, as a result of the merger, form a single bigger business entity.
As Ross Brouse, the former CEO of SolarVPS, and the future COO of the merged company, described it, “This merger brings together a unique combination of talents between DedicatedNOW and Solar VPS. There will be no changes made in the management of the two companies, nor will the servers be moved from their existing locations. And as a result of the merger, DedicatedNOW clients will be able to benefit from the excellent web hosting support and virtualization technology offered by SolarVPS. Furthermore, given that they will now have access to SolarVPS’s locations, DedicatedNOW will be able to begin offering hosting for new servers in Miami, Dallas and Los Angeles.
On the other hand, SolarVPS will now have access to all DedicatedNOW’s resources, which will help to both enhance as well as consolidate their growth. The headquarters of the newly merged company will be the DedicatedNOW’s datacenter in Clifton, NJ. The representatives of both companies are sure that this merger will give their existing, and future, clients access to better resources, a wider product selection and more staff able to offer quality customer assistance. Or as Jason Silverglate, the CEO of DedicatedNOW put it, “The merger makes both brands stronger, more marketable and sets the foundation for the growth of our cloud hosting division.”
