Internet provider FutureHosting, known internationally for its development of Future Engineer, as well as for its support of small and medium sized businesses, has made some major updates to their month-old Cloud Delivery Network (CDN).
Future Hosting’s CDN subscribers are now able to host individual files, uploadable via FTP or a brand new Web interchange. Up until now, their customers were not able to get their files on individual POP’s with the CDN, only from the customer server.
Now, not only do Future Hosting’s CDN clients get individual file hosting, they can store these files with POP Pull. Unlike old-school Origin Pull configurations, where website files are temporarily copied to the CDN and then quickly purged, POP Pull configurations store the files permanently. This translates into a quicker, more reliable experience that takes less of a toll on servers.
Having partnered with providers upstream, CDN is manifest on 5 continents and growing. Particularly exciting are plans to expand into the Middle East. With superior connectivity comes very little latency, exceptionally high throughput file transfers all over the world. There is also instant scalability and superb failover protection.
“With only a month of performance to consider, it is quite remarkable what a useful tool our CDN has proven to be for our customers,” said Nick Zyren, Chief Technical Officer at Future Hosting. “For clients who demand global access, with low latency and high-bandwidth, this product is ideal.”
CDN capability is now an option for Future Hosting customers both new and old. Future Hosting’s sales division is well prepared to assist existing and potential clients with any query.
Future Hosting is best known for having developed Future Engineer, which took on the task of making tedious jobs like server configuration and repair tasks on Virtual Private Servers more automated. Future Engineer helps technicians perform their jobs more efficiently, taking away the time-consuming busywork and allowing them to brandish their true talents.
