Future Hosting announced that it is expanding its line of hosting services to Washington, DC. The move to the nation’s capital is part of the company’s broad expansion plans, which already includes five cities in the United States and Europe. Future Hosting will now boast six data centers; in Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, London, Seattle, and Washington DC.
Future Hosting had already made some inroads into the DC area with a Virtual Private Server offering; the new initiative will provide DC area customers the full product line from the DC facility, including high-bandwidth ports, dedicated and hybrid servers and other specialized services.
The DC area is an important market for anything tech-related. As the seat of government, the area is home to not only government agencies-which are increasingly reliant on technology and an online presence-but many private-sector technology companies and government contractors as well. As part of their ongoing effort to better serve customers, last year the company offered a 50 percent increase in disk space as well as a bandwidth increase, moving the minimum monthly bandwidth allotment from 100Gb to 2Tb.
Future Hosting is well known for its Future Engineer support automation system, which automates many of the server configuration and repair tasks on Virtual Private Servers. The privately-held company specializes in managed hosting, and offers a full line of dedicated and virtual private servers, as well as hybrid virtual private server configurations. Unmanaged plans are also available. The company has built its reputation on excellent customer service including a three-hour Service Level Agreement, and innovative and affordable pricing models.
