CoolHandle Hosting, one of the fastest growing web hosting providers, has recently joined with CloudLinux in order to provide their customers with a new, state-of-the-art server operating system.
Through this joining, CoolHandle hope to offer increased stability and security, as well as enhanced performance on the company’s shared hosting servers. The overall server performance will be improved primarily through reducing load from resource-intensive users. This will also allow CoolHandle to continue on its path of exponential growth in the industry, without having to lower the quality of their service.
CloudLinux will make sure that resource-intensive accounts do not slow down the servers. This will be achieved through their Lightweight Virtual Environment (LVE) technology. LVE allows for the efficient containment of each user, allocating only a set amount of server resources to them. This prevents the so-called “Bad Neighbor” effect that occurs when a single account on a shared server experiences a spike in the use of shared resources. In other words, CloudLinux will effectively make sure that such resource spikes will not effect all the accounts on a shared server.
As the CoolHandle Director of Marketing, Ryan Morris said, “All CoolHandle customers will benefit directly from CloudLinux. Particularly heavy resource-usage software and websites built using WordPress, Joomla, and Drupal. CloudLinux helps us guarantee that all of these users enjoy excellent uptime and performance.”
To that the CloudLinux VP, Marv Steigman, added, “CoolHandle is an outstanding example of a hosting provider focused on offering the best possible experience to their customers, while reducing their support costs and generally making life easier for their sysadmins through the unique benefits the CloudLinux OS offers.”
