I Have Signed Up With BlueHost!

Today I’ve just signed up with BlueHost to see how their web hosting service goes. The signup process went smoothly, I used a domain name I already owned and paid with Paypal. The account has been activated within five minutes.

I signed up for twelve months and it cost me only $95.40. For this price I’ve got cPanel Hosting with unlimited storage and unmetered bandwidth.

Their web server runs on Apache 2.2.9 with mod_ssl and OpenSSL enabled. As far as programming languages goes, BlueHost supports PHP (version 5.2.6 at the time of this writing), Perl, CGI and Ruby On Rails. They also provide a PostgreSQL and MySQL database servers.

BlueHost also has a nice and friendly user forum located at http://www.bluehostforum.com. People there don’t make you feel like a douch when asking a question. They are very supportive and helpful.

So right now I’m real happy with BlueHost, we’ll see how it goes over the next few weeks.
