To follow up on my last post on How To Install OpenX on HostGator Hosting, I’ve made another another video, this time to show you how to install OpenX on GoDaddy’s web servers.
The process is basically the same as with HostGator but the thing is, GoDaddy’s MySQL servers are on separate servers than websites. Another thing is that GoDaddy uses their own custom control panel so I wanted you to see the whole process with this particular host as its been requested.
Watch the OpenX video tutorial below:
You’ll notice that I get an error message during the OpenX installation. It says that the PHP variable register_argc_argv should be turned on in order to enable schedule maintenance from command line. I’ve sent an email to GoDaddy’s support staff to see if it’s possible to enable this feature. I’ve tried to do it through the php.ini file located at the root of my GoDaddy web space but I doesn’t work.
I’ll keep you updated about this issue.
Stay tuned as I’ll show you how to use OpenX to display ads on your website or blog.
