One of IXWebHosting’s greatest features is their EasyApps script installer. Within a few clicks, even the most inexperienced user can install tens of popular applications such as WordPress, Joomla, osCommerce and phpBB.
For those of you who are used to Fantastico Deluxe, you’ll find EasyApps just as powerful and easy to use.
First, head over to IX Web Hosting and click on the Control Panel link at the top to log in.
Once logged in, click on My Products and then on Hosting Products from the left menu. You will then be presented with a list of all your hosting plans (chances are you only have one plan). Click on the Manage button next to the desired hosting product.

Next, scroll all the way down the newly opened window and click on the EasyApps icon, right under WebServer. You will be brought to the EasyApp page where you will need to click the Off button next to EasyApp in order to enable the script installer.

Once enabled, EasyApp will allow you to install various free applications like blogs, forums and online stores but that’s for another post!

Thanks Stephane,
I actually frustrated now.
Just found out that in ixwebhosting the easy apps application can’t install wordpress in the root of the domain.
I had to install it in a folder and then move it by setting a new location in my wordpress admin and then moving files with ftp.
Then the wordpress version available is 2.5 when the latest is 2.7
Ixwebhosting is way way not uptodate and i consider them mediocre.
Thanks again for your tutorial.
