Following up on the two posts I’ve made on how to install OpenX on HostGator and how to install OpenX on GoDaddy, I’m now going to show you how to use OpenX.
Before going further, please take note that I’ve already made a tutorial on how to use OpenX in text format so I’ll limit this post to a video tutorial. For a more detailed explanation on the subject, please refer to the previous posts (part 1 and part 2).
The following video has been made using my HostGator hosting account. I am very please with HostGator has their web servers are really fast, even faster than my VPS and most of my other shared hosting accounts.
This video tutorial is divided in 5 parts:
Even though I’ve chosen to use OpenX with WordPress, the process would be quite similar with any kind of website. In most cases, I prefer using the Javascript invocation code. The iFrame code works great too.
Also please take note that when you create an Adsense ad, it can take up to 10 minutes before it is active.
Eventually I’ll try to add sound to my videos, I hope you won’t mind too much my accent!

Hi,
Excellent post. Noted you didn’t include a ‘destination url’ when adding the banner. Is this used only for Local Banners? In any case, what address do we put in the destination URL as I could not get my to work.
Cheers,
