How To Create a MySQL Database with DirectAdmin

October 18th, 2008

While less known than cPanel and Plesk, DirectAdmin is a very good hosting control panel. A few days ago, I’ve made a post on How To Create a MySQL Database Using cPanel so this time around, I’m going to show DirectAdmin users how to do the same thing.

How To Create a MySQL Database With DirectAdmin

Assuming you’re already logged in DirectAdmin (usually located at http://www.yourwebsite.com:2222), click on MySQL Management from the control panel’s main page:

On the next page, click on the Create new Database link at the top. You will be now prompted to enter the database name, username and password:

Now simply click the Create button and you’re done! This was easy wasn’t it?

If you want to manage your database content, DirectAdmin provides you with phpMyAdmin. This is usually located at http://www.yourwebsite.com/phpMyAdmin or you can also find the link to phpMyAdmin on the MySQL Management page in DirectAdmin.
