In a press release, SingleHop noted that they are continuing to invest in its infrastructure to the tune of $20 million or more over the next three years. The company runs two Chicago data centers. The company has been in existence as SingleHop since 2006, and as an operation since 2003.

The main data center has over 2,000 dedicated servers with redundant N+1 power, battery backup and diesel generator, and a fire suppression system, as well as physical security precautions such as biometrics and a rack-level locking mechanism. The second data center offers the same high-end configuration, with no single point of failure and 10,000 square feet of computing space in a 200,000 square foot facility. You can choose from a selection of high-end servers, ranging from the ATOM 330 1.6GHz, 1MB L2 machine on the low end, all the way up to a Xeon Quad-Core machine with a full terabyte of hard drive space, 12GB of RAM and 10 terabytes of bandwidth on the high end.
