Usually, there are no issues as the cadre of hosting features just work. The up time is fantastic and there have been no glitches since becomming a customer.

Date: December 10, 2011 | In the last 5 years, I've worked with 6 of the larger hosts for VPS hosting. InMotion is the only one that reliably handles support requests to my satisfaction. Their 24/7 chat support team actually provides effective support, which is a rare thing. InMotion, FTW!

Both of them delivered absolutely the best customer service I have ever experienced. They were patient with me and my lack of knowledge and helped me work thru my issues. The entire inmotion hosting team has always been so supportive and helping me stay going. I don't have to call often but when I do, I always know whatever day or night, I will received outstanding customer service.

Occasionally mistakes are made, and my site has dropped once (maybe twice) in the past couple of years, but this is all made up for in spades by the absolutely excellent customer support - anytime I've ever had an issue I've been able to call, speak to a real person right away, and had them work immediately for me to find solutions and explain what's happened. The support staff is always friendly and patient and understanding and always fix any problem right away. Can't recommend highly enough.

Date: December 7, 2011 | No matter how good customer service is, and InMotion is relatively responsive, the primary responsibility of a host is to be RELIABLE. Unfortunately, that is where I give InMotion a "2". The first year was fine, but the past 10 months, despite numerous server moves, my site has been down daily, their servers were hacked, they made a hardware change and failed to back up correctly that resulted in the loss of new data for customers on that server (my sites included) etc etc etc. Having my sites on InMotion has become a daily headache, a full time job in itself and an unpleasant experience.
The first thing you'll hear from CS is that there's no problem---it must be your issue. By the time you get to a supervisor, they'll admit there's an issue on their end. Wasted time, higher blood pressure. Too bad for you. Their "satisfaction guarantee" is just lip service, they offer no compensation for major failings other than "a month of free service." Why would I want an additional month of service from a host that fails me every day? RUN, don't walk to another host. This one's done.

I had my entire site deleted by mistake and they reverted in no time and no questions asked, no frills. Recently my site was attacked and they promptly and patiently helped me clear out the virus. It didn't stop there, beyond that they happily did all my nagging requests like nameserver setup etc. Each email from Inmotion has so much details and clarity and I really dont know how they have so much time to type all this for their customers! I am with inmotion for 2 years and have recommended so many others. I will never think of any other hosting! | |||||||

Also though i agree it's more secure to leave advanced dns settings with you but i prefer it should be left with customers if they are willing. third the installation of add on softwares is not so good like go daddy offers | |||||||

Evidently C-Panel does not like Safari (and vice versa) ..... fortunately I have Chrome and Steel and a few other browsers installed on my iMac, so I have a work around. | |||||||
