I have been receiving a lot of questions whether you should be hosting your website with HostGator or DreamHost. Turns out I have a web hosting account with HostGator but I have never hosted with DreamHost. Therefore I decided to get an account with DreamHost so I could compare both and help you decide which one is the best for you.

This post will be the first of a series in which I will make an in-depth comparison of both providers. Let’s start by getting an overview of these web hosting companies.
