Their 99.9% uptime guarantee is not an actual guarantee, it's merely a statement that they do not honor.
In the past six months, all of my websites have gone down for over 48 straight hours on two separate occasions. This means that I do not have access to my websites or emails for days at a time. If you're trying to run a business, this can be a deal killer with your clients. When inquiring as to how long I should expect my service to be interrupted, they simply reply, "I assure you, services will be restored shortly". Two days without a website or email is not "shortly" and can be detrimental to a business. Even though they are "committed" to their 99.9% uptime guarantee, they refuse to issue refunds. Additionally, they are not careful about spammers. If you get stuck on a shared hosting server with a spammer, your IP address may get blacklisted, through no fault of your own. Then, you'll have trouble getting an email through a spam filter (also bad for business). In my experience, their support team will acknowledge the issue and then neglect to resolve it. The poorest customer service I have ever experienced.

Nice control panel (cpanel) loaded with faetures and fantastico. I recommend greengeeks.com to anybody who is looking for a web host. At least they don't hit you with high prices when you want to renew your subcription, unlike other hosting companies I've been with before. | |||||||

I found out about Green Geeks when I bought the Drupal for Dummies book which recommended them for Drupal hosting. So far I have no complaints and I am very pleased with their service. My website is fast and there were barely any dowtimes. | |||||||

I moved to Green Geeks after 6 painful months with hostpapa. If you are looking for a REAL green host, go with green geeks. It's a bit more expensive but totally worth it. Great support, great features, nothing to complain about. | |||||||
