Was checking to see how these two compared.
Been using Hostmonster since 9/2007.
No complaints on my part.
Few problems, but were mostly WordPress or my slips causing them.
So will stick by them.

I use godaddy for my person stuff and hostmonster at work. Hostmonster has problems with going down all the time. The customer service is pretty horrible, i’ve called many times and my sites go down all the time. The connection with the database is very faulty. Your best bet would be go with godaddy, at least they have reliable customer service and will work with you on any problems you have.

GoDaddy doesn’t do to well for hosting. It is slow at times (10 seconds to load a page on my site), and not working at all sometimes. I have heard better things, about HostMonster, among them, they use the way more popular cPanel, instead of Plesk, which is messed up, and harder to navigate.

I think that you should choose HostMonster, even though I am hosted on GoDaddy, I am not paying for the hosting, but if I was I would switch.
