SingleHop.com Announces Dedicated Server Equivalent of “Cash For Clunkers”

SingleHop, the full-service managed dedicated hosting provider, has just announced a ‘Cash for Clunker Servers’ program in a spirited response to the US Government’s ‘Cash for Clunkers’ auto promotion.

The program includes older servers using Celeron (Intel), Opteron (AMD), Athlon (AMD), Xeon (Intel), Pentium 3 or 4 and Pentium D-based processors.

Step 2: Select Your New Server
Choose from the Intel Atom 330 and three different specifications of Intel Core2Quad multiprocessor-based servers.

At this point the online selection tool shows you the base configuration of processor, memory, disk drive capacity and monthly bandwidth allocation.

You also are shown how much cash you’ll get back and the value of any applicable marketing vouchers. And from an environmental perspective, you’ll see how much electricity (in KwH) and Carbon Dioxide (in pounds) you’ll save on an annual basis by trading in your clunker server.

Step 3: Add Individual Specifications
